FED: ANU, Govt join forces to create diplomat school
CANBERRA, Jan 13 AAP - The federal government has joined forces with the AustralianNational University (ANU) to create a school for diplomats.
Foreign Minister Alexander Downer today said the Asia Pacific School of Diplomacy wouldreinforce the government's strategy of engaging the region.
"Enhanced understanding of cultural complexity, strategic thought and internationalrelationships is vital to the future of the region," Mr Downer said.
